It may have been the middle of the week yesterday, but man was I tired. Wednesdays are usually a busy day for me because of church, but yesterday was special, so you all will have to forgive me for the late post.

Yesterday was another one of those days that was on the better side, thankfully. I did still have to deal with the fact that my students were being constantly moved around due to ratio purposes. But, let’s be honest, I’m used to it by now.
It did slightly frustrate me however, when I found out that I was receiving another child from another class that was being promoted to my class, and my assistant is still helping out in another class. I will never mind new students, but don’t sit there and tell me that you got me a new assistant teacher and then never let her be in the classroom. The first thing you will always hear professionals say is that children need consistency. But I would argue the same for us teachers. You can’t constantly be changing everything and expect us to not get stressed.
Today was a crazy day, I meant it when I said to savor the calm days.
Today we spent a good amount of time in the bathroom. Now let me explain why… There was a severe storm alert for our area, so we all had to take shelter either in our bathrooms or in the hallway depending on whether or not the bathroom was located on the interior part of the building. But needless to say, keeping fourteen plus children sane while in a bathroom for any extended period of time is severely difficult. We managed, but let’s just say by the time our principal came by saying the weather warning had passed I was running out of songs to sing with the kids. And then of course we were unable to go outside for the rest of the day due to the mud and puddles. So, the kids went absolutely crazy. They tried every bit of patience that I did not have, I honestly do not know how I did not go crazy… But I managed to hold out.
One thing I do have to look forward to is the fact that next week is teacher appreciation week. Although, I do have several parents who let me know on a daily basis how much they appreciate me, I do always look forward to the goodies…. Is that bad? I don’t think so. I take care of these kids and teach them every day all day, my patience deserves to be rewarded, hahaha.
I hope you all enjoyed the double post! Hopefully life will give me a break and let me upload on time from now on…. Yeah, right. This weekend is my vacation to Galveston! So, hopefully I will have the time to upload some blog posts about our vacation.
See You Next Time! Happy Reading!
