Mondays are always a source of stress for a teacher. Just two days off from school and your students have forgotten everything you have ever taught them. This Monday however, was a good one.
This week we were starting out our lessons by focusing on compound words. Some examples being: Butter-fly, foot-ball, etc. My students had to match the pictures together to make the words.
However, with it being Summer a lot of our students take the summer off due to their parents being teachers themselves. Yes, before anyone asks, Preschool teachers don't get Summers off unless you actually work at a public school. But since we had a very low number of students attending today our principal asked if I would like to go home early today. I took the opportunity as it rarely arises. I gave my assistant the runthrough about the lessons for the rest of the day and went on my marry way. It was wonderful to be able to relax for the rest of the day and use the time to get ahead on things I needed to do at home.
It also had perfect timing because I was able to be there for a friend who really needed someone to talk to.
The only negative thing that happened today was the fact that some person who really needs their license revoked decided to run a red light and could have easily taken me out if I had not seen them speeding towards the intersection. That could have ended rather badly...
But I hope everyone managed to have a good day today!
See You Next Time! Happy Reading!
