Today was definitely one of those days where you look at everyone around just like, what is wrong with the lot of you????      All morning today every single one of my students were in terrible moods. They were a mess! The tiniest things were setting them off and I could only stand there like, what do you want children??????? Do you even know????? The answer is, no, they did not know what they wanted. What they needed, however, was a nap. After they all took a nap today they were in much better moods. As they all lay there sleeping I could only sit as if I had just lived through a tornado.

My second "what the heck is wrong with you" moment of the day came when we were all sitting and listening to music on the carpet. I had pulled one child aside to make sure they had not had an accident, and after I checked I kept them in my lap and was sort of dancing with them in my lap. After we were done with our music time I sent the child to the table as we were all about to have some well deserved gold fish. Another child sitting on the carpet suddenly bursts out screaming and crying like they had been stabbed for no apparent reason, causing quite a bit of confusion on my part. So, I had them calm down and tell me nicely what was wrong. And this is that child's response, "You held -insert kids name-"....... This child was legitimately throwing a tantrum... Because I held another kid. I just sat there, dumbfounded, staring at this kid like, "You're a mess." I could not think of an appropriate response, it seriously left me speechless. It's not like I hold either of those two children more than the other, everyone gets equal lap time. So I had no idea what spurred this outburst, but apparently today was the day when that particular child was done sharing my lap.

What can I say? I guess my students might like me at least a little bit. Except apparently I need to reinforce our lessons on sharing.

That's all for today! I hope the story about that one student gave you all as good as a laugh as it gave me!

See You Next Time! Happy Reading!
